Marcy, Timothy & Christiane

Both Tim and Christiane were raised in Christian homes, believed in Jesus as young children, and were interested in missions early. After attending Bible college, Tim spent 3.5 years in Japan, teaching English and working with a Japanese church. He returned to the US in 1995, with the spiritual needs of Japan strongly imprinted on his heart. Christiane also attended Bible college, studying Bible and secondary education. Tim and Christiane met at church in 2000, and were married in 2003. In 2009, they were commended together as missionaries to Japan. They just finished an internship with Takasaki Christ Assembly in Gunma, and have moved to Komoro, Nagano with the aim of planting a church there. The next two years or so will be spent making extensive renovations to the property they bought and forming relationships within the community.
